Fellowship

The Fellowship Core Team meets as needed to plan and arrange events throughout the calendar year where our members and friends can gather in Christian fun and fellowship.

Fellowship Core Team members are responsible for the following:

  1. Regularly communicate with the Church office staff and congregation to provide timely and accurate schedule of Fellowship activities using a wide array of communication tools provided by the church (e.g. office calendar, monthly newsletter, special mailings, bulletin announcements, church Facebook page, web page, etc.).
  2. Encourage members of the congregation and community to participate in Fellowship activities.
  3. Solicit ideas and activities from the congregation for future Fellowship activities.
  4. Continuing to sponsor activities that have in the past been traditionally enjoyed by the congregation, including but not limited to:
    1. Annual Brainstorming Event
    2. Easter Sunday Brunch
    3. Coffee Hour for Confirmands
    4. Pastor Appreciation Sunday
    5. Annual Meeting Brunch
    6. Welcoming of New Members Gathering

Fellowship Core Team Leaders are responsible for the following:

  1. Submitting monthly reports to Church Council and other Core Team Leaders.
  2. Attending monthly Core Team Leader meetings and providing input on current issues.
  3. Work in conjunction with a Church Council liaison.
  4. Plan budgets for the next calendar year and submit to Council Treasurer by October each year.
  5. Write and submit Annual Report to the Church office by November each year.

Examples of Fellowship activities have included, and can be duplicated if desired, the following:

  • Mexican fiesta (brainstorming event)
  • Talent show
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Mackinaw Bridge walk
  • Crop walk
