Property Management

The Property Management Core Team is responsible for all aspects of church building and grounds maintenance. The Team plans and oversees the maintenance requirements of the church building and grounds including plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, lawn mowing, trash removal, snow removal, and building repairs.

Hires and maintains communication with annually contracted services.

  • Irrigation
  • Snow Plowing
  • Grass Cutting
  • Garbage Removal / Recycling

Performs the following periodic tasks:

  • Submits and adheres to an annual budget and keeps Church Council apprised of all capital improvements needed.
  • Approves, processes, and submits all Property Management invoices for payment by Treasurer.
  • Checks janitorial supplies monthly/quarterly and order supplies as needed in conjunction with office secretary.
  • Writes and submits monthly reports to Church Council and other Core Team Leaders.
  • Attends monthly Core Team Leader meetings and gives input on current issues.
  • Meets with Fire Marshall/Inspector as required and arranges updates where needed.
  • Works in conjunction with a Church Council liaison.
  • Coordinates with Kitchen Manager for maintenance of Hobart Dishwasher (de­scaling).
  • Changes exterior sign for Worship Services as needed.

All congregational members are needed and welcomed on the Property Management Core Team.

  1. January
    1. Assist in removal of Christmas decorations.
    2. Change exterior sign for Annual Meeting Worship Service.
  2. February
    1. Performs battery check on AED.
  3. March
  4. April
    1. Arrange to have Crucifix placed near Sanctuary during Holy Week.
    2. Change exterior sign for Easter Worship Services.
    3. Contact irrigation company to have irrigation system up & running.
  5. May
    1. Remove snow shovels and ice melt from main level of church & store in basement.
    2. Arrange for spring carpet cleaning/repair as needed.
  6. June – August
    1. Sees outdoor gardens are maintained throughout summer season.
    2. Oversees grass cutting.
    3. Change exterior sign to summer worship schedule,
  7. September
    1. Contact all contracted services (such as snow removal, lawn maintenance, church cleaning, water softener company, etc.) and obtain quotes for next calendar year.
    2. Performs battery check on AED. iii. Change exterior sign to reflect fall worship schedule,
  8. October
    1. Plan budget for the next calendar year and submit to Council.
    2. Contact irrigation company for winterization of system.
  9. November
    1. Place snow shovels and ice melt in lobby and hall in preparation for first snowfall.
    2. Purchase ice melt throughout winter as needed,
    3. Oversees snow plowing throughout winter season.
    4. Write and submit Annual Report to office
  10. December
    1. Change exterior sign for Christmas Worship Services.
